Things to do to pass the time at home, aside from reading of course:
1. Use the DVD that you got with the CIR Reading book, if you have it with you. There are many interactive games to play on it. Have fun!
2. Play a board game.
3. Write a poem or a story.
4. Watch a Grammar video that I posted above.
5. Build a jigsaw puzzle.
6. Watch a movie with the Captions on. (Why not try it with the sound off.)
7. Go outside in the garden and play: ride your bike, skip rope, use your water blaster/super soaker, blow bubbles, have fun with your pets.
8. Draw a Treasure Map (for your home or garden) and then hide the 'treasure'. Have someone at home try to follow the clues to find the 'loot'!
9. Do you have any seeds at home? Plant some vegetables or herbs or even some flowers.
10. Get out your paints or coloured pencils and bring out your artistic side. Produce your "Work of Art"!
